Pastries

So it begins.  Inspired in large part by the fabulous book, The Supper of the Lamb, by Robert Farrar Capon, I made it a life goal to learn how to make pastry.









I began this week.  This morning, I was rewarded with this breakfast:
Petit pain-au-chocolat
My pastry skills are still a work in progress, so I will wait to update you on any favorite technique or 'recipes'.  Nevertheless, I feel that I am off to a reasonably good start.

  2. You made pain au chocolate?!! That's amazing...this is making me nostalgic and yes, now I'm craving some. :) well done - it looks simply scrumptious!
