I am a grad student who technically has no time to cook but would be crazy not to. I cook not just because eating is necessary, but because it is good. And because cooking can be so much fun.
Why the name of this blog?
Tagine: I spent 8 of the early years of my life in Morocco, so Moroccan food has special appeal for me. For some, mac and cheese or toast is comfort food; for me it's couscous or tagine.
Turnovers are related to the other part of me - the Canadian/American heritage of my family. I love to bake, so putting this into the title balances out the Tagine (cooking) side of things. And who doesn't love some alliteration once in a while?
